What is Value Alpha?
Value Alpha is an autonomous, AI-native valuation firm for private businesses.
We take care of the valuation, so you can focus on the value, the true alpha the numbers alone can't capture.
Private businesses create enormous value. The system around them was never built to measure it well.
When the time comes to sell, plan a succession, acquire, or raise capital, an owner faces one of the most important financial decisions of their life. The two sides of that table are rarely equipped the same way.
- Teams of analysts
- Sophisticated models
- Live market and deal data
- Scenario analysis
- Experienced advisors
- Fragmented spreadsheets
- A broad industry multiple
- Advice from people across the negotiating table
- No scenario analysis
- No defensible audit trail

A Note from the Founder
I have spent my career on both sides of how private businesses are valued, financed, and sold.
I grew up around owner-operated businesses. I saw how much of an owner's identity, family security, and life's work could be concentrated in a single company.
Later, working around corporate development and large-scale transactions, I saw the other side of the market. Large institutions had teams of analysts, sophisticated models, market data, scenario analysis, and experienced advisors helping them determine what a business was worth. Most private-business owners had none of that.
When the time came to consider a sale, succession, acquisition, or capital raise, many were expected to make one of the most important financial decisions of their lives using fragmented spreadsheets, broad industry multiples, and opinions from people sitting on the other side of the negotiation.
I built Value Alpha to close that gap, for both sides of the table.
Value Alpha combines institutional valuation methods, private-market intelligence, and company-specific analysis to help owners and buyers understand three things:
- 1. What is the business worth today?
- 2. What is increasing or reducing that value?
- 3. What should happen next?
This is not about replacing judgment with an algorithm. It is about giving better information to the people making the judgment, on either side of a deal.
Because no one pricing a private business should have to rely on a generic calculator or the other side's opinion. They deserve a defensible view of value, a practical path to improve it, and greater control over what happens next.
With conviction,
Why we built Value Alpha.
Coming out of large-scale M&A at Fortune 500, Tomasz turned the institutional toolkit on the market he watched get ignored, built AI-native from day one, not a consulting firm with a chatbot.
Our principles
Value must be explainable.
Every conclusion should be traceable to evidence and assumptions. No black boxes.
Owners deserve institutional standards.
The quality of the analysis should not depend on the size of the transaction.
A valuation should lead to action.
Knowing the number is only the beginning. Owners should understand how to improve it.
Technology should increase judgment, not replace it.
Models create structure. People make decisions.
Honesty beats false precision.
Private companies are valued in ranges, scenarios, and probabilities, not magical single numbers.
Organized around the decisions owners actually make.
Not a list of engines. A path from knowing the number to acting on it.
Understand the value
A defensible valuation range grounded in company performance, market evidence, and multiple methodologies.
Find the value gaps
Identify concentration, margins, recurring revenue, management dependence, and the other factors that shape buyer perception.
Build the value
Prioritize the changes most likely to improve quality, resilience, and valuation before you go to market.
Prepare to defend it
Enter discussions with buyers, lenders, partners, and advisors with clearer evidence and stronger preparation.
Build the value. Defend the price. Prepare for what comes next.
A business is more than a collection of financial statements. It represents years of decisions, relationships, risk, and work. Value Alpha exists to make that value visible, and to help the people who built it act on it.
